Opening

Welcome, everyone. Please, take your seats.

We are gathered here today to celebrate one of the most important days in the lives of [Partner A] and [Partner B] — the day they commit to building a life together, surrounded by the people who love them most.

[Partner A] and [Partner B], I’ve had the privilege of knowing you both for [X years], and I can tell you honestly: I have never seen two people more sure of what they’ve found in each other.

On love and commitment

Marriage isn’t about finding someone perfect. It’s about choosing someone, every day, and being chosen back. It’s showing up on the easy days and the hard ones. Today isn’t the finish line — it’s the starting line of that daily choosing.

Declaration of intent
